How does one define "Real Music?"

First of all, some people need to realize not everybody is an amazing guitarist such as Jimmy Page, neither a master of flugelhorn as Chuck Mangione. Second of all, there is no such thing as "music being dead" or "mainstream has taken over." Take for example, one decides to listen to a Megadeth album and then decides to insert a Black Eyed Peas CD just to rant on about how bad it is. Is that necessary or just out of plain stupidity?

This post does not only apply to Metalheads or the Metal Militia alone. It goes to all fans of any kind of music. Even to the Justin Bieber fans who think so high of him, I would like to express my opinion on what music can be.

I would like to say that there can never be a perfect genre, furthermore, there is no perfect song. John Lennon, one of the greatest musicians ever, had said "My defenses were so great. The cocky rock and roll hero who knows all the answers was actually a terrified guy who didn't know how to cry. Simple."

Not everybody will think one genre is the best. Of this time, pop and hip-hop seem to be the most popular right now. It had brought the idea to many music fans from before that jazz, rock, and blues are all dead. Honestly, it's totally not true AT ALL.

Many close-minded rockers must keep in mind many of the best rock bands had been born in the 90's. My favorite being the Foo Fighters, Alice in Chains, Breaking Benjamin, and for mainstream fans, Green Day. These bands are still very popular today, and they don't have to be on the radio. As long as people still listen to rock, it will NEVER die.

Music fans who enjoy hip-hop and rap shouldn't be attacking or be attacked by any other genre of music. While I do agree with most metalheads on them saying "rap requires no talent" or "rappers don't use any instruments," many don't seem to listen to the real hip-hop which does have more meaning in their lyrics. Lil Wayne, Soulja Boy, and 50 Cent are all very popular mainstream rappers. But what are a majority of their songs? Sex, money, drugs, is what they noremally sing about.

The stereotype that "only black people listen to rap" is also very stupid and narrow-minded. Not all rap is the same, and not every rap song will have derogative lyrics. 2Pac, Eminem, Biggie Smalls, and Nas each have a true meaning in each of their songs. Their voices and rhythm also prove to have more talent than any other rapper who ever lived.

As for elitists of the pop genre, the same goes for pop just like my point for rap and hip-hop. Popularity will come and go for many very popular pop artists such as Lady Gaga, Miley Cyrus, and Justin Bieber, and country singers like Taylor Swift. Their voices may not be the best out there but people will like them, and we cannot help that. Justin Bieber may be the most overrated artist right now, but all one can do is just not to listen to it.

Pop from the 90's and 80's was much better, I can say. Michael Jackson, the Backstreet Boys, Madonna, and the Bee Gees all had their moments in music. The genre, pop, can define "popularity." Popularity comes and goes, and it all depends whether one will listen to it or not.

_______________________________________________

In conclusion. Ask yourself, what can we do about it? Rap fans can say it should be the only genre. Metalheads can be at war with any genre other than rock. And the same can happen with millions of other elitists of music.

"Good music" comes from inside you. It's your taste in music, and nobody else's. There will be people who love your taste in music, and others will not take yours as greatly. If anybody disses your taste in music, don't fight back and claim yours is better. Be the better person, and avoid war with the genres you do not enjoy as much as your favorite.

Metalheads Corrupt Justin Bieber's "Baby" Video

Alright, I will tell you one thing. I am not a Justin Bieber fan, in fact, I HATE Justin Bieber with a passion. I do not really believe Bieber is very talented and neither do I think he's good looking. But ever since I realized a massive group of jerks had put too much power into one video, I really wanted to say something to them. This is how I'll do it.

Beginning July 4th at about 12:00 AM, thousands of angry metal and rock fans have begun an ultimate troll attack on the "Justin Bieber - Baby ft. Ludacris" video. Though you can tell by the comments, I will tell you that they said one of the most hateful things about him. But that's not all there is to it.

The following message was sent in hundreds of music videos by thousands of Metalheads:

"The metal militia will be attacking Justin Bieber's video ON YOUTUBE (justin bieber baby ft. ludacris) on the FOURTH OF JULY Assemble all fans of good music in every genre! (Jazz, Metal, Classical, Classic Rock etc.) On said date leave a comment giving your thoughts on JB, close the comment with "-MM" (For metal militia). Copy and paste this comment to all the good band videos!"

After a few weeks of preparation the attack commenced. Trolling comments on Bieber's VEVO channel and every video on it brought huge success to the Metal Militia. But when I say corrupt, I don't just mean extreme trolling...

At about 7 AM, Metalheads from the website 4Chan used a specific script on Bieber's video to begin with. Random pop-ups with innapropriate messages and hateful insults appeared in these pop-ups. This "script virus" had infected many other videos in the process. I guess some 4Chan users took advantage of the script.
